- 1Add APIhub
Paste this in your terminal:
gemini mcp add --transport http apihub https://apihub.co.il/mcp - 2Sign in
Start gemini and type this. Your browser opens: sign in to APIhub and approve.
/mcp auth apihub - 3Ask
“Add Hebrew captions to this video”, with a link. Gemini shows the price; say yes.
To check the connection, type /mcp in Gemini: apihub shows CONNECTED, with its tools.
Gemini CLI itself needs a Gemini API key, the Google Developer Program or Gemini Code Assist: since 18 June 2026 the unpaid tier and Google One users get Antigravity CLI instead.
The extension: the server and the commands
Instead of the first step, install the APIhub extension. It adds the server and the /apihub commands:
gemini extensions install https://github.com/vibecodingltd/apihub-pluginsThe repository is private for now, and Gemini CLI does not ask GitHub for a password. With the GitHub CLI signed in, hand it the token for this one command:
GITHUB_TOKEN=$(gh auth token) gemini extensions install https://github.com/vibecodingltd/apihub-pluginsThen sign in as in step 2. In Gemini, /extensions list shows apihub-video.
The commands
Type one inside Gemini. A paid job always shows its price first, and waits for your yes.
- Captions on a video
/apihub:captions - Reels from a long video
/apihub:reel - A dub in another language
/apihub:dub - The full edit
/apihub:full-edit - Examples and caption styles
/apihub:examples - An upload link for a file
/apihub:upload - The price of a job
/apihub:price
If something does not work
The sign-in does not open a browser
The sign-in needs a browser on the same computer. Over SSH or inside a container it cannot finish: run Gemini CLI on your own computer.
apihub shows DISCONNECTED
Type /mcp auth apihub again, then /mcp.
