APIhub in VS Code
For GitHub Copilot’s agent in VS Code. One click, or one line in the terminal.
- 1Install
Press the button. VS Code opens and asks to install the apihub server: press Install.
- 2Sign in to APIhub
When VS Code asks to let apihub sign in, press Allow. Your browser opens: sign in with Google or with your email, and approve.
- 3Ask
In Copilot’s chat, in agent mode: “Add Hebrew captions to this video”, with a link. Copilot shows the price; say yes.
From the terminal
The same thing as the button:
code --add-mcp "{\"name\":\"apihub\",\"type\":\"http\",\"url\":\"https://apihub.co.il/mcp\"}"In a project folder
A folder with this .vscode/mcp.json works too: everyone who opens it in VS Code gets apihub.
{
"servers": {
"apihub": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://apihub.co.il/mcp"
}
}
}The first time, VS Code asks once whether you trust the server: answer yes. A server from a trusted workspace file starts without the question.
If something does not work
The button does not open VS Code
Install VS Code first, or paste the line above in a terminal.
Copilot does not use APIhub
Switch the chat to agent mode, and check in the tools menu that apihub’s tools are on.
The server does not start
VS Code asks once whether you trust a new server: answer yes. To ask again, run “MCP: Reset Trust” from the Command Palette.
